The diversity of our principals is echoed in the composition of our design staff. The education and experience of the staff varies from architecture and engineering, to theater lighting and production design, to industrial design and graphic arts. We are strongly represented in industry professional organizations, including the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), the Architectural League, the European Association of Lighting Designers (ELDA), the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions, and the U.S. Green Building Council (LEED).

Our design studio is home to FMS and our two sister firms in a classic New York City Flatiron District loft space. Our facilities are equipped with seven conference areas, on-site Information Technology resources, a complete lighting mock-up room, staff lounge areas, and an extensive library. Frequent formal and informal peer reviews are encouraged and facilitated by pin-up and breakout spaces throughout the studio.
