Jules Fisher IALD ASTC USA-IATSE IES
Founder / Consulting Design Principal
For more than 40 years Jules has been lighting Broadway and off-Broadway shows, as well as film, ballet, opera, television and rock-and-roll concert tours. He has received 23 Tony nominations and won 9 Tony awards for Lighting Design, a record in this category. Jules was recently awarded an honorary doctor of fine arts degree from his alma mater, Carnegie Mellon University.
Hank Forrest IALD IES LC LEED AP BD+C
Senior Associate Principal
Hank's lighting experience runs the gamut from libraries, museums, historic renovations,
casinos, and residences to the Washington Monument. Before joining FMS, he worked as a lighting
and technical consultant to photographers throughout North America.
Chief Financial Officer
Joe is a graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. Before joining
FMS he worked for eleven years in a public accounting firm. At FMS he provides internal financial
management for all projects. He is our Quality Management Representative and is ISO 9001 trained.
Zack Zanolli IES USA829 LEED AP
In 2003, Zack returned to FMS after a fourteen-year tenure as Lighting Director at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York where he designed the lighting for over two hundred exhibits. He has applied his unique blend of theatrical and museum expertise to notable projects such as the Gettysburg Visitors Center, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Shuttle Atlantis at the Kennedy Space Visitor Complex, Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, and the 9/11 National Memorial and Museum in New York City.
Enrique Garcia Carrera IALD IES LEED AP BD+C
Enrique's professional experience encompasses twenty years as a lighting designer in New York and Mexico City. His projects include airports, transportation centers, museums, corporate headquarters and performing arts centers. He won an IALD Awards of Excellence for his work on the Chek Lap Kok Airport, Hong Kong and Korea Development Bank, Seoul. Enrique is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.

Margo received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati. Her portfolio ranges from extensive residential work to complex civic developments. Margo has received numerous lighting design awards; most recently an IALD Award of Merit for a residential loft in California and an IES Illumination Award of Merit for Armstrong Oil & Gas Headquarters.
Michael G Hemmenway

Michael comes to FMS with a background in theatrical lighting and set design, architecture and photography. His project portfolio spans wide; featuring projects from retail and hospitality to cultural institutions to large scale commercial and civic developments. Michael’s dynamism for light has recently earned him several accolades including an IALD Award of Merit for the Chanel Wynn Encore and an IES Illumination Award of Merit for 2000 Avenue of the Stars in California.

Kevin’s diverse background, shaped by sustainable, integrated lighting design, spans from corporate, residential, commercial, civic, healthcare, higher education to cultural institutions.
Through unique design approaches, Kevin uses lighting as a powerful architectural material to enhance the quality of space including the human experience and activities with the space.

Paula’s degree in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Lighting Design, as well as a minor in Architectural Design from Penn State University, provides a technical and artistic balance to her work. She is deeply committed to design and brings insightful, logical concepts to every project since joining FMS in 2005. Paula is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Miyoung Song IALD IES LC LEED AP BD+C
Miyoung received a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture and a Master of Science in History of Arts from Pratt Institute. In addition to custom decorative light fixture engineering/manufacturing experience, she has created over a dozen of art installations and public art incorporating light in New York’s most prominent galleries and public sites before joining at FMS. Miyoung is fluent in Korean.
Carla Ross Allen LEED AP ID+C
Carla comes to FMS with a background in product design. She received a Master of Fine Arts (3D) from The Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her artistic vision and environmental awareness is present in all of her lighting designs, which span from museums and bespoke residences to academic buildings and community facilities including custom decorative and architectural light fixtures.
Jamie Devenger IALD IES LEED AP BD+C
Jamie joined FMS in 2010 after completing the intensive five-year Integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering degree at The Pennsylvania State University with an emphasis in Lighting Design. Her strong technical skill set and creativity show in all of the projects she has contributed to, ranging from designs for high end residences, hotels, retail, museums, and corporate buildings to technical studies about daylighting and environmental impact.
Senior Lighting Designer
After receiving her Bachelor of Architecture, Erica pursued a Master’s Degree in Lighting from the Lighting Research Center where her thesis centered on design and the biological impact of light on human health and well-being. Erica went on to work as a Lighting Designer at NBBJ before joining FMS Seattle in 2015. Her passion for design comes from the synthesis of light and architecture and the belief that lighting is fundamental to the quality of our built environments, having the ability to create meaningful spaces that positively impact our everyday experiences.

Senior Lighting Designer
Katie joined FMS after receiving a Bachelor of Architecture and Masters of Science in Architectural Sciences with a Concentration in Lighting from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Co-Terminal program. During her academic career, she was awarded first place in several professional architectural and lighting design competitions. During her time with FMS, she has contributed to a variety of illuminated spaces, including high-end corporate office, museum, and hospitality projects. Katie has received several lighting honors, most recently the GE Edison Award of Excellence and the IESNY Lumen Award of Excellence for the Covington & Burling project.
